About Amy Jones
Before becoming a PA at Marin Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, Amy Jones practiced in hospital-based medicine on a multi-specialty surgical team that covered general surgery, thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, plastics, and orthopedics. After working in surgery in a hospital in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, she moved to California. After moving to California, she spent time in a Community Clinic working with underserved patients. She has also spent part of her practice in Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine.
She began working at Marin Orthopedics in 2015. Amy enjoys working at our practice because of how specialized and comprehensive our care is. She loves getting to know every patient and appreciates the opportunity she has to spend time listening to their concerns. She feels that spending enough time with patients makes a big difference and helps ensure they receive the best outcome possible.
Amy earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Bridgewater State College in Massachusetts in 1995 in Physical Education with a concentration in Exercise Physiology. Following her undergraduate degree, she spent time in a surgery center helping to run the day to day operations and opening several surgery centers around the country before pursuing her masters. In 2003, she completed her second Bachelors of Science degree in Health Sciences. Then in 2005, she completed a Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston, Massachusetts. She has maintained board certification as a Physician Assistant.
Hobbies and Interests
When she’s not at work, Amy spends a majority of time with her family and 6-year-old daughter. She loves spending time on the water, traveling, and gardening.
